SOME taxes are necessary, yes. This is an inescabable truth. However, the current tax system is insane.

There is a tax on every product you consume, be it good or services, that the companies pay, passing on the cost to you, the consumer. We pay income taxes, much of which goes to support lazy, halfwit muds. Social Security taxes, medicare taxes, none of which we'll be able to benefit from later because these programs get robbed by the government to the point of near collapse. Many states have a sales tax, on TOP of their OWN income taxes.

Then there's property taxes, which are my least favorite. How the HELL does it make sense to levy a tax on something just sitting there, not doing anything? I can understand a small income tax, and even toll roads, and taxes on things you don't need like booze and cigarettes, but not property taxes.

You simply have the government itself print the money. They pay for services, contracts, salaries, entitlements, only you don't assign a penny of debt to those dollars. Exactly the same as the Fed, only no debt. The Fed prints money on paper and declares it valuable. We can do the same thing, without issuing a debt instrument to collateralize that money.

It still does not make sense? On the local/state or federal level we still have bills.Just printing money to pay them does not solve the problems.

FDR started the income tax to fund the war, and then when they saw all the money it raked in , this temporary program was forced on us permanently. And of course it's a get the vote out program now for these democrats to stay in office forever, if possible, since the minorities know how things work now. War and taxes seems to be the biggest theme of this country.

Chrissy, I think the income tax was created in 1913, with the 16th amendment. Perhaps you are referring to the telephone tax that was imposed during the Spanish American war and is still with us today. You're right about the other stuff though;demoncrats, war and minorities.
